There has been a lot of discussion about so-called bio-weapons. These are weapons which utilize biological agents to kill living things. The most commonly stockpiled, and easily accessible biological agent is Anthrax. Anthrax has been manufactured for several years in Iraq—even during UN inspections. What was the purpose of this production ? We can only speculate that some of the terrorists who have been financed by the Saddam Hussein government have also been provided Anthrax.

ANTHRAX

Anthrax can be delivered to a target area in two ways: (1). Inhaled anthrax, or (2). Ingested anthrax. Anthrax which is passed by skin contact, in water, or in other food items IS SURVIVABLE. Anthrax which is airborne (inhaled), is almost always fatal. The first type of Anthrax does not even become evident until 1-6 days after exposure, and once symptoms appear, a person may live 1-3 days. The second type, ingested Anthrax, may be delivered by terrorists into a commonly used food product, or the water system has been expected in the USA for some time. For this type of Anthrax, antibiotics such as penicillin, ciprofloxicin, or doxycyclene are able to contain the Anthrax, and allow the infected person to function almost normally so long as the antibiotics are continuously taken. However, the infected person MUST get an Anthrax immunization shot as soon as possible after being exposed.

In the case of inhaled Anthrax, there is no known cure. This is why effective gas masks, and the use of a “safe-room,” is encouraged.
